Haidong Gumdo is the fastest growing Martial Art in the world today. With over 1.5 million practitioners in over 50 countries. This rapid progression has been since 1996 when the world Haidong Gumdo Federation was established. Prior to this Haidong Gumdo was formalised as style by Grand Master Jeong Ho Kim in 1961. This formalisation of an ancient style was made to make the traditional Korean sword art more accessible to the general public. From 1961 to 1996 Haidong Gumdo grew rapidly in popularity through out Korea, prompting Grand Master Kim to internationalise the style.
In 1999 Master Jung Il Oh, Now Australian Grand Master, brought Haidong Gumdo to Australia.
This Masters course is the opportunity for you, the martial arts practitioner, to increase and broaden your skill level, to add to your curriculum and to get on board and develop along with the art in this country.
This is a limited opportunity, and will be made available to the first 50 suitable applicants.
Take the next step
Master Oh will then review the suitability of applicants.
Please feel free to contact Master Oh if you have any questions.
